About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead our 4/5-star boutique hotel in White River. The ideal candidate will be a strong all-rounder who thrives in a boutique environment, taking ownership of the property and ensuring exceptional service delivery to both local and international guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Full operational management of the hotel
- Driving occupancy, revenue, and yield strategies
- Managing budgets, costs, and financial performance (P&L)
- Overseeing reservations, sales, and agent relationships
- Maintaining exceptional guest service standards
- Leading, motivating, and developing the team
- Managing food & beverage performance, including menu costing
- Overseeing maintenance, property upkeep, and projects
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and operational standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a General Manager or senior hospitality leadership role
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven
- Strong understanding of revenue management and reservations systems
- Passion for service excellence and guest experience
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- R30,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
- Live-in accommodation (1-bedroom unit with utilities – water, electricity, and security included)
- Performance-based incentives (at management discretion)
