About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical (E&I) construction to join our team in Rustenburg. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of tendering and estimating for medium to large E&I projects and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveying for 5 Years or more in an E&I Construction environment.
- In-depth experience in tendering and estimating for medium to large E&I Projects.
- Contract Law (NEC 3, FIDIC, GCC etc), contractual negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Project planning and schedules software (MS Projects and/or Primavera).
- Site/construction and project management of E&I projects.
- E&I construction methodologies and project management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
- Experience in mining, processing plants, and infrastructure sectors.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in challenging environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- Professional registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) is highly advantageous.
