About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Agile Business Analyst / Scrum Master to join our consulting team on an initial contract basis. This dual-hat role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business stakeholders, Product Managers, and development teams, while actively driving Agile delivery using the Scrum framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Business & Integration Analysis:
- Translate complex business processes and Product Manager visions into clear user stories and technical requirements
- Analyse, understand, and document system integrations, including data flows, APIs, webhooks, and dependencies between third-party platforms and internal systems
- Define precise acceptance criteria and support functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Scrum Management & Agile Execution:
- Act as Scrum Master for the development pod
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Work closely with Project Managers to align sprint delivery with overall project timelines and business objectives
- Actively remove blockers and protect sprint capacity from scope creep
- Azure DevOps (ADO) Governance & Reporting:
- Maintain Azure DevOps as the single source of truth for all development work
- Manage backlogs, sprint boards, dashboards, queries, and reporting within ADO
- Produce and present clear weekly and sprint reports covering progress, velocity, and delivery outputs
- Solution Validation & Quality Assurance:
- Verify delivered features against approved business and functional requirements
- Ensure traceability from requirement through to delivery
Requirements
- Azure DevOps (ADO) Mastery: Advanced proficiency in backlog management, queries, dashboards, and sprint reporting
- Integration Fluency: Proven ability to understand and articulate complex system integrations (APIs, webhooks, data payloads)
- Dual-Hat Experience: Demonstrated experience operating as both a Business Analyst and Scrum Master in a software engineering environment
- Agile Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies with proven delivery execution
- Technical Translation Skills: Strong ability to translate business problems into clear technical workflows and solutions
- Experience working in a consulting or fast-paced delivery environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Comfortable operating across both strategic and delivery-focused discussions
Qualifications
- Relevant IT, Business Analysis, and/or Agile qualifications
- Agile or Scrum certifications (e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner) are advantageous
