About the Role
We are seeking a warm, well-presented and highly organised Receptionist to join our luxury private game reserve in the Eastern Cape. As the first point of contact for discerning local and international guests, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience from the very first interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all guest check-ins, check-outs and room allocations
- Handle all incoming calls, emails and guest enquiries promptly and professionally
- Assist with reservations, booking confirmations and pre-arrival guest communication
- Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences and records
- Liaise with guides, housekeeping and management to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures
- Process invoices, bills and related administrative tasks accurately
- Maintain the presentation and ambiance of the reception area at all times
- Assist with general lodge administration as required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ reception or front office experience within a luxury lodge or hotel environment
- Relevant hospitality qualification advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with a property management system (Opera or similar) advantageous
- Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal
- Well-presented and well-spoken with a warm, professional manner
