About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Welding Foreman to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for supervising welding and fabrication operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the work of welders, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow
- Reading and interpreting Engineering drawings
- Troubleshooting welding issues and participating in the fabrication of metal components including welding, cutting, and shaping
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery
- Cleaning pressure vessel equipment
- Liaising with Production teams
Requirements
- Matric
- Own transport
- Understanding of welding processes
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience in troubleshooting welding issues
- Ability to work long hours and under pressure
- High energy levels and self-motivated
- Ability to follow instructions
- Reliable transport
- Good communication skills
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Semi-skilled Boilermaker
