About the Role
The Pretoria-based Primavera Project Planner will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining project schedules for our company’s clients in the mining, power plants, and infrastructure industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and set up project schedule with project stakeholders’ input using Primavera and/or MS Projects
- Follow project planning processes and company procedures on all assigned projects
- Ensure consistency and reliable progress reporting
- Highlight any deviation within the programme to the Project Manager, and assist with innovative and appropriate planning advice
- Implement planning logic, understanding inter dependencies and knock-on effects
- Track baseline vs actual progress on schedules
- Highlight risks to ensure project completion on time – raise early warnings with possible impacts to project schedule
- Provide weekly reporting to internal and external parties by means of schedule updates and progress reporting
- Assist subcontractors, align, and integrate project schedules and progress reports
Requirements
- Related qualification (3-6 years)
- Primavera Planning experience in the mining/power plants and/or infrastructure industries
- Experience in a similar role, planning of large construction and feasibility phases of projects
- Primavera P6 and MS Projects knowledge essential
- Sound Understanding of installation projects in Power Plants / infrastructure construction / mining environments
- Consulting experience highly recommended

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) not specified.
Salary & Benefits
R55,000 – R80,000 p/m (depending on qualifications and experience). Client provides on-site accommodation and pays for travel expenses to site.
