About the Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing all branch operations, including sales performance, financial management, staff leadership, and customer service. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive profitability, optimize operations, and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Identify new business opportunities and grow market share
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Oversee all operational functions including stores, stock, logistics, and rentals
- Ensure efficient processes and optimal stock levels
- Maintain high service delivery standards
- Manage branch budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Monitor GP margins and control expenses
- Oversee debtors, creditors, and cash flow processes
- Lead, motivate, and develop branch staff
- Conduct performance management and training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Resolve customer queries and maintain high satisfaction levels
- Build long-term relationships with key clients
- Represent the business professionally within the community
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
Qualifications
- 810 years experience in a similar role
- Strong sales and operational management background
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Financial acumen and budgeting experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High level of organization and ability to work under pressure
