About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookings & Events Manager to join our outdoor activity venue team. As the primary point of contact for bookings, events, and customer service, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Report To: 2 x Business Owners
- Working Days and Working Hours:
- 8.00am to 5.00pm (but may need to work after hours when hosting a group)
- Required every 2nd weekend, with Monday and Tuesday off when working a weekend
- Events Co-Ordination Assistance:
- Coordinate and manage group bookings from quotes to delivery and hosting
- Send quotes and invoices, and follow up on payments
- Ensure all admin is completed, including activity schedules and other requirements as per process
- Ensure kitchen staff have what is needed for catering purposes
- Welcome companies and host the event, ensuring all runs smoothly
- Leisure Bookings, Hosting, Customer Service Management:
- Manage full hosting function of leisure guests every second weekend, including working at reception to welcome customers and schedule guides accordingly
- Ensure all emailed bookings are completed
- Stock Take:
- Conduct biweekly stock checks
- Order stock from suppliers as needed
Requirements
Valid Drivers License
Matric
Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Travel Agent, Events Co Ordination (preference)
Minimum of 3 years working experience
Excellent communication skills with ability to manage complaints and confrontation in a professional manner
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experienced with Outlook, Excel, and Word
Accuracy and Attention to detail
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Willingness to assist in all aspects of the business
