About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customs Quality Control Specialist to join our team at the Durban Branch – Grindrod house. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of customs clearance processes, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customs and statutory body documents required for customs clearance
- Conduct audits on products against customs and other statutory body requirements
- Comply with the requirements of our quality management system
- Provide accurate and methodical handling of pressure and attention to detail
Requirements
- 10 years import/customs experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry
- At least 5 years of experience in a customs framing entry capacity
- Grade 12 Certificate and 1-year customs related qualification at NQF level 3
- Basic international trade principles
- Knowledge of Customs and Excise Act
- Applicable knowledge of INCO Terms, Carrier & depot conditions of trade, Principles of Duty calculation, National currencies and international codes
