About the Role
Our client, a well-established seed breeding and production company, is seeking an Agronomist / Technical Sales Manager to join their team in George, Howick, or Pretoria. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for seed products, providing technical agronomy advice to farmers and agents, and delivering presentations at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for seed products
- Provide technical agronomy advice to farmers and agents regarding product use
- Assist with the planning, execution, and evaluation of product trials
- Ensure new product information is communicated effectively to agents and farmers
- Deliver presentations at farmer days, study groups, and industry events
- Develop and meet sales budgets by monitoring and tracking performance
- Assist with stock takes and management of consignment stock
Requirements
- 25 years experience in seed sales or agronomy
- Relevant Agronomy qualification and practical experience
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Valid drivers license (non-negotiable)
