Mooi River: Dairy Farm Manager – KZN Midlands

About the Role

The Mooi River Dairy Farm is seeking an experienced and skilled Dairy Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm in the KZN Midlands region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of our dairy farm, including staff supervision, milking operations, and herd health.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise farm staff, including task allocation and performance oversight
• Oversee morning and afternoon milking operations, ensuring efficiency and hygiene standards
• Monitor and manage calving cows and young stock
• Conduct pasture measurement and grazing management
• Perform and manage artificial insemination (AI) programmes
• Administer day-to-day veterinary treatments and monitor herd health
• Ensure effective maintenance of electric fencing
• Manage and monitor water supply for dairy cows
• Maintain accurate farm records and operational reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Dairy Farm Manager or senior dairy operations role
• Experience and competency in artificial insemination (AI)
• Ability to organise, manage, and motivate farm staff
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Fluent in Zulu (Essential)
• Valid drivers licence
