About the Role
The Maintenance Manager is a critical member of our luxury safari lodge team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. This market-related role requires a practical and hands-on individual with excellent problem-solving skills to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all basic repairs and general lodge upkeep (gates, plumbing, minor maintenance issues)
- Conduct routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance
- Manage and monitor water systems (meters, pumps, boreholes where applicable)
- Daily fleet checks and basic vehicle maintenance oversight
- Prepare vehicles for game drives (fuel, cleanliness, basic checks)
- Provide veld and farm support when required
- Assist rangers with operational support (non-guest facing duties only)
- Ensure lodge infrastructure is well maintained and operational at all times
