Senior Duty Manager Luxury Hotel Group, Eastern Cape

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and dynamic Senior Duty Manager to join a luxury hotel group in the Eastern Cape. This role is ideal for a guest-focused individual with bush experience, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a high-end hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

• Supervise and support staff across all operational areas, including Front Office and Food & Beverage.

• Ensure guest satisfaction by proactively addressing enquiries, requests, and complaints.

• Maintain operational standards, health, safety, and hygiene protocols throughout the property.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering teamwork and engagement.

• Actively contribute to the smooth running of the lodge, including assisting with bush operations where applicable.

• Support revenue-generating activities and ensure compliance with property procedures and policies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager in a luxury hotel or lodge environment.

• Some Food & Beverage experience advantageous.

• Guest-centric mindset with a strong commitment to service excellence.

• Bush experience and understanding of lodge operations are highly desirable.

• Mature, reliable, and able to lead by example.

• Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

Salary: R16,000 R18,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
