Job Summary

What’s in a Day’s Work?
As Financial Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our hotel assets across Africa, providing strategic insights to both our client portfolio and Valor Hospitality Partners Head Office.

Core Responsibilities
Collate and consolidate monthly financial reports across multiple hotels
Engage with Hotel General Managers and Financial Managers to review and interrogate financial results
Represent Valor in financial and strategic discussions with property-level leadership
Monitor and flag financial risks or anomalies to senior executives
Manage and review budgeting processes for individual hotels
Lead the auditing process for both individual and consolidated accounts
Conduct scenario planning and financial modelling to support business strategy
Understand key commercial contracts and advise on financial implications
Prepare ad hoc feasibility studies as required

Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred or equivalent relevant experience

Experience
Minimum 5 years in a senior hospitality finance role
Demonstrated experience in multi-property hotel financial management
Experience working across African markets is a strong advantage

Skills and Attributes
Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
Strong communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
Assertive, focused and capable of driving outcomes
Advanced MS Excel skills essential
Able to travel extensively across the African continent

Additional Information
Position open to South African citizens only (no work permits issued)
