Position: Electrical Designer/Draftsman (Permanent) Location: Alrode, Alberton (Engineering/Manufacturing Environment) Work Schedule: 06:30 – 15:30 (Monday–Friday) Salary: Competitive, based on experience Requirements: 3–5 years’ experience in electrical design/ drafting within engineering/ manufacturing. Technical Skills: MCC, PLC, DB design & manufacturing (advantageous) Proficiency in Eplan & AutoCAD (non-negotiable) Ability to develop electrical schematics, automation drawings, and layout designs Strong administrative skills with adherence to project timelines Knowledge of ECSA Code of Conduct and engineering standards Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed electrical designs using Eplan & AutoCAD, including MCC, PLC, DB, RIO, GA layouts, and network diagrams Create and manage BOMs and project documentation Assist in preliminary designs, proposals, and testing within the engineering department Implement redlining during FAT, commissioning, and handover phases Ensure compliance with ECSA guidelines and company quality/safety standards Liaise with clients, procurement, and manufacturing teams to resolve design queries
