Our client, a well-established and innovative company based in Bloemfontein, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with a passion for accurate design, technical drawings, and turning concepts into practical solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting design, production, and project execution while working in a professional and collaborative environment.

Minimum requirements

• Matric
• Relevant Draughting / Engineering Drawing qualification (National Certificate, Diploma or equivalent)
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in a draughting role (experience in manufacturing, construction, or engineering environments advantageous)
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Solid understanding of industry standards, tolerances, and measurements
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Autodesk Inventor, ArchiCAD, Sketchup (advantageous) and SolidWorks (advantageous)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans for storage solutions and related projects
• Develop 2D and 3D CAD models based on project specifications and client requirements
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to translate concepts into practical designs
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, or mechanical drawings to ensure accuracy
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, tolerances, and safety regulations
• Update and maintain drawing archives and project documentation
• Assist in modifications and revisions of drawings as required during project execution
• Provide technical support to production and installation teams
• Participate in project meetings to offer design input and solutions
• Maintain high attention to detail and quality control in all drafting tasks

Remuneration

R8 000 – R11 000 cost to company, depending on experience

Work hours

Monday – Friday: 07h45 – 16h50 (MUST willing to work overtime and on weekends as needed)
