About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our livestock and cropping farm in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, experience with irrigation systems, and previous hands-on experience with both livestock and crops.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Monitor and control irrigation systems (pivot)
- Oversee daily operations of feedlots and cropping operations
- Maintain accurate records and reports on crop yields and livestock performance
- Lead and train a team of farm staff
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in agricultural field
- Experience with pivoted irrigation systems and farm machinery operation
- Previous experience with cropping (lucerne) and livestock management
- Previous feedlot experience
- Computer literate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree
