Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
 
Executive Support & Office Management

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Chief Executive, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
  • Prepare high-quality briefings, reports, presentations, and speeches to support executive communication
  • Manage and optimise the Executive’s calendar, ensuring effective prioritisation and time allocation
  • Act as a trusted advisor, challenging thinking and contributing to strategic discussions
  • Ensure follow-through on key actions and maintain executive momentum on critical initiatives
  • Facilitate strong internal engagement and embed effective operating practices across the organisation

Board & Committee Support

  • Coordinate Board and Executive Committee meetings, including preparation of materials and logistics
  • Attend key meetings to track decisions and ensure execution of action items
  • Support governance processes, including preparation and review of documentation
  • Liaise with governance teams to ensure alignment on compliance, risk, and stakeholder matters

Strategic Projects & Initiatives

  • Support and participate in key strategic initiatives, research, and optimisation projects
  • Conduct analysis, develop insights, and contribute to decision-making frameworks
  • Assist in business case development and strategic modelling
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive execution of strategic priorities

Strategy Development & Integration

  • Contribute to the development of strategic frameworks and long-term planning
  • Produce strategy documents, position papers, and strategic roadmaps
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for executive and board-level decision-making
  • Translate market insights and research into actionable strategic initiatives
  • Assess financial viability, cost structures, and value drivers to inform strategy

Technical competency requirements

  • Insight into strategy formulation and strategy execution
  • In-depth knowledge of the retirement fund industry and developments taking place within this industry
  • Commercial acumen and general management capability
  • Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to deliver to plan and meet deadlines
  • Excellent command of written/verbal business language and report writing skills
  • Strong financial, data modelling, and analytical skills with evident commercial acumen
  • Articulate, able to write reports, and influence stakeholders
  • Provide informed perspectives on market, industry, and competitive dynamics
  • Interpret research and translate insights into strategic implications and options
  • Align strategic intent with execution frameworks and operating requirements
