About the Role
We are seeking a warm and welcoming Restaurant Hostess to join our newly opened hotel in Camps Bay, Cape Town. As one of the first points of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a professional and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservations and waiting lists
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Coordinate seating arrangements with the restaurant management and service team
- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant entrance area
- Assist with guest queries and ensure a smooth dining experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
- Experience in a hostess, front-of-house, or guest-facing role preferred
- Professional appearance and confident communication skills
- Friendly and welcoming personality
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
