About the Role
Our client in the Automotive industry is seeking a Branch Store Room Manager to join their Cape Town team! The suitable candidate will be responsible for supervising pickers and packers, ensuring storeroom is well packed and organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pickers and packers
- Ensure storeroom is well packed and organized
- Manage picking sheets and ensure correct parts are being picked
- Receive stock
- Assist the Branch Manager in maintaining smooth operations of a fast-moving environment
Requirements
- Vehicle and driver’s license
- Clear criminal record
- Matric
Qualifications
Matric
1 – 2 years experience in warehousing and inventory control
Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Ability to read and write
Good communication skills
Basic numeracy skills
Demonstrated experience of managing warehouse staff and operations, preferably in the automotive industry
Demonstrated experience in leading a diverse team positively
Full understanding of health and safety and security requirements in a warehouse environment
Full understanding of ISO standards
Knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators and best practices
Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and database management where appropriate
Comprehensive knowledge of logistic processes and procedures
Excellent understanding and experience of inventory control
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
