About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Food & Beverage to lead and elevate our culinary and service offerings at a prestigious luxury hotel in George. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences that leave guests with unforgettable memories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the food and beverage offering meets world-class standards across all outlets and touchpoints.
  • Continuously refresh and align menus and special touches to the concept of each outlet.
  • Build and maintain professional, warm, and sincere relationships with members and guests; address feedback promptly and empathetically.
  • Prioritise the development of talent, ensuring alignment to key competencies within the hospitality offering.
  • Implement and adhere to sound financial, operational, and people management practices.
  • Oversee budgeting, stock and operational expenditure controls, CAPEX projects, forecasting, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing food and beverage team and brand that exceeds expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years’ hospitality experience, including at least 3 years in a senior food and beverage leadership role within the luxury sector.
  • Proven success across all areas of culinary service, including banqueting.
  • Strong knowledge of menu engineering, wine list management, financial management, stock and OE controls, and OHSAct compliance.
