About the Role
As a Backend Developer in our Cape Town City Centre team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the robust backend services that keep our business-critical applications stable and resilient. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to craft clean, efficient, and secure solutions while contributing to system architecture that evolves with purpose and clarity.

Requirements
- Strong backend development experience using Java or similar object-oriented languages
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Exposure to cloud platforms and containerised environments
- Experience working in Agile development teams
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and automated testing principles
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant backend development experience in a production environment
