About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to join our team at the President Hotel in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily bar operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Lead, train and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Ensure consistency in drink preparation, presentation and service standards
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders and manage stock control and wastage
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Assist in creating and updating cocktail menus and beverage offerings
  • Handle guest queries, feedback and complaints professionally
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage team to enhance the overall guest experience

Requirements

  • Minimum 23 years of experience in a bar or beverage role within a hotel, restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines and bar service standards
  • Experience working in a 4 or 5-star hotel or high-volume environment preferred

Qualifications

  • South African ID or valid work permit required
