About the Role
FROGG Recruitment is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join our client in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, mechanical and electrical experience, and solid Niagara Framework knowledge. As a BMS Engineer, you will oversee a team of technicians and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining building management systems that control and monitor a building’s mechanical and electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, lead and manage BMS design, programming, and commissioning
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of BMS projects
- Prepare project documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals
- Oversee the installation of BMS hardware and software
- Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the installation phase
- Develop and integrate Niagara-based systems
- Build professional BMS graphics / UI
- Advanced fault-finding and system optimisation
Requirements
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering
• 5 years’ Building management solutions / BMS experience
• Proven experience in BMS design, installation, and maintenance
• Solid Niagara Framework experience
• Experience building BMS graphics
• Solid HVAC and controls knowledge
• Exposure to API and MQTT integrations (beneficial)
• Niagara Certification preferred
• Valid SA driver’s licence
