Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITES Responsible for preparing the recipes in accordance with the chocolate shop specifications. Prepare chocolate products as specified by the Maitre Chocolatier ensuring food safety and high quality Check cleanliness of Chocolate shop before each shift starts Production of a range of chocolate decorations Check temperature and condition of materials and refrigerators Collect daily from the F&B Store all supplies required for immediate operations Correct handling of allergens for guest with specific dietary requirements Performs overall quality control of all chocolate shop items Follows all food safety protocols in the pastry department in compliance with MSC Food safety standards Ensures that food is properly stored, sets up the workstations and keeps it clean at all times Prepare the daily mise en place and food production Minimize food spoilage Comply with international HACCP QUALIFICATIONS Proficient English, oral and written skills Proven 1 years successful experience least 2 contracts in a similar position onboard or in a major hotel operating under International Food Safety Standards, Chocolate shop or a cruise ship DOCUMENTS REQUIRED Valid South African Passport Police Clearance
