Location: Blackheath Role Summary: Seeking a Fitter and Turner who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and efficiency of machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Implementation and management of maintenance system. Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks (weekly, monthly, annually). Ensure that machines can achieve operational efficiency as determined by the Managing Director. Uphold safety and housekeeping standards in line with OHSA and ensure compliance with all ISO system requirements. Fault finding during production and breakdowns. Responsible for maintenance budget planning and controlling maintenance expenses. Responsible for managing spare parts levels. Attend to breakdowns and call outs as required. Assist with installation and commissioning of new machines and/or equipment. Perform any other tasks necessary for the conduct of the employer””s business, as the employer may from time to time direct. Required Skills & Experience: Experience with pumps, drives, motors, chillers, and blowers. Must be able to read pneumatic and electrical drawings to assist with fault finding. Must be able to use TIG welding on stainless steel. Familiar with preventative maintenance practices, maintenance planning, and budgeting. Familiar with root cause analysis methods. Good communication skills written and verbal. Good numeracy skills and computer literacy. Team player with a proactive, systematic approach to tasks. Willingness to work overtime as required. Valid Code B drivers licence. Perform any other tasks necessary for the conduct of the employer”s business, as the employer may from time to time direct.
