Cape Town City Centre: FP&A Analyst

The Role’s Purpose: The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for delivering accurate financial planning, insightful analysis, and strategic support to the business. This role goes beyond reporting it requires someone who can interpret data, challenge assumptions, and translate numbers into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts across revenue, expenses, and cash flow Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and evaluate profitability Provide strategic support to leadership on investments, new initiatives, and overall business planning Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support scenario planning and ad hoc analysis Prepare monthly reporting packs and contribute to dashboards and visualisation tools Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Marketing, and Credit, to ensure alignment on performance metrics and objectives Deliver variance analysis and performance commentary to support informed decision-making Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance or a related field 25 years experience in FP&A or a Financial Analyst role Advanced Excel skills (financial functions, pivot tables, and VBA) Experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI or Tableau Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases Exposure to retail, fintech, or lending environments would be advantageous Key Competencies: Naturally curious with a strong desire to learn and improve processes Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills Ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity, discretion, and sound independent judgement Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail Why Apply?: This role offers the opportunity to join a high-performance environment where finance plays a central role in driving business outcomes.
