About the Role

We are seeking a Fund Operations Finance Associate to join our operations team in Cape Town, where you will be exposed to fund operations, financial oversight, and analytical work within a structured and fast-paced environment. As a newly qualified CA(SA), you will have the opportunity to develop strong commercial insight while working closely with multiple internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing finance-related activities performed by third-party service providers, including bank reconciliations, investor and broker payments, taxation processes, and commissions and rebates
  • Reviewing and resolving reconciling items on bank accounts and monitoring overdraft positions
  • Managing relationships with banking partners and attending to finance- and tax-related queries
  • Performing analytical reviews and trend analysis on client and broker data
  • Conducting data analysis to investigate operational issues and support decision-making
  • Identifying key financial and operational risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place
  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams such as Tax, Compliance, and Operations
  • Participating in finance, banking, tax, and regulatory-related projects
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through process optimisation and automation

  • Exposure to asset management, fund operations, or financial services operations is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience or interest in data analysis and interpretation
  • Proficiency in SQL and exposure to automation or analytics tools beneficial

Key Responsibilities
