About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Equity Analyst to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining coverage of stocks, conducting global equity research, and contributing to investment decision-making. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of portfolio management tools and techniques, engage with company management and external research providers, and represent the firm at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand portfolio management as a wider discipline, applying a range of portfolio management tools and techniques
- Develop and maintain coverage of stocks
- Conduct global equity research, developing investment theses and valuation models
- Analyse companies using a fundamental framework and identify investment opportunities
- Produce in-depth research reports
- Engage with company management, investor relations, and external research providers to gain insights into company and sector dynamics
- Contribute to investment meetings, collaborate with the research team, and support investment decision-making
- Represent the firm at management meetings, results presentations, and industry events
- Support continuous improvement of research processes
Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Science (or related degree)
- CFA Charter Holder
- CA(SA) (advantageous)
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and a variety of computer software
