Cape Town City Centre: Product Specialist

Technical Specialist – Wealth Products Join a leading Financial Services firm in Tygervalley, Cape Town, as a Technical Specialist in the Technical Adviser Support team. This is a Full Time, Mid-Senior level role that is overall responsible for supporting a large national network of advisors with complex advice-related matters in the Wealth division. The successful candidate will be a wealth product specialist with in-depth experience in investments, financial planning, and product analysis. This role works closely with product providers to ensure the product suite remains competitive. Key Responsibilities: Act as a subject matter expert on technical product and advice matters. Manage the large case review process, including presenting findings to senior management for approval, and continuously evaluate and improve this process. Provide ongoing technical advisory support to advisers and distribution teams. Draft, review, and sign-off on communication for marketing purposes, and draft technical communication (e.g., Take Notes). Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams on strategic distribution projects, product due diligence, and due diligence on product providers. Effectively manage direct reporting staff and facilitate technical training for junior staff. Minimum Requirements: 7 years experience in wealth and investment products. A Degree in Financial Management, Financial Planning, or a related field. A Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning is advantageous. In-depth knowledge of financial planning. Experience engaging at an EXCO/Senior Management level. Exposure to working directly with financial advisers.
