About the Role
As a Product Specialist, you will bridge the gap between software development and end-users, turning complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation and visual assets. You will be the go-to expert for product knowledge, impacting both internal teams and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating High-Impact Documentation: Collaborate with development and training teams to produce clear, concise help materials, feature overviews, rollout instructions, and “how-to” guides.
- Visual Storytelling & Design: Develop infographics, videos, and images that simplify complex ideas.
- Support UX initiatives by designing application icons and web graphics aligned with the product brand.
- Knowledge Transfer: Train internal staff and ensure teams are up-to-date with new product features and updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and revise content to keep it aligned with evolving products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in stand-ups and documentation reviews, working with Scrum Managers and Business Analysts to capture and address documentation needs.
Requirements
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Design proficiency using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Affinity, or similar; strong UX/UI awareness
- Familiarity with documentation platforms (Google Workspace), web publishing tools (WordPress), and AI-assisted content creation
- Multimedia content creation skills, including video or interactive guides
- Strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and process-oriented mindset
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Product Specialist, Technical Writer, Product Writer, or similar role in tech or related industries. Minimum of 2 years in a Product Specialist, Product Writer, or Technical Writer role in software or related sectors. Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and working alongside software teams is an advantage.
