Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets (retail, corporate, property,
construction, etc.)
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to maximise repeat business
Conduct client meetings, site visits, and needs assessments
Promote the companys full range of signage products and services
Client Consultation & Solution Selling
Understand client branding, budget, timelines, and installation requirements
Recommend appropriate signage solutions (materials, finishes, illumination, installation methods)
Advise clients on feasibility, compliance, and production constraints
Manage client expectations regarding lead times, costs, and deliverables

Client Consultation & Solution Selling

Internal Coordination
Liaise with:
Project coordinators
Designers
Production and installation teams
Resolve client queries or changes during the project lifecycle
Communicate variations and ensure approval for additional costs
Manage client expectations regarding lead times, costs, and deliverables

Quoting & Costing
Prepare accurate quotations based on:
Materials
Labour
Installation requirements
Logistics
Subcontractor costs
Work closely with production, fabrication, printing, and installation teams to ensure cost accuracy
Ensure quotes meet required gross profit margins
Follow up on quotations to secure orders

Order Processing & Project Handover
Convert accepted quotations into sales orders
Ensure all client specifications, artwork, and approvals are obtained
Conduct a clear handover to project coordination / production teams
Remain the primary point of contact for the client during project execution

Sales Administration & CRM Management
Maintain accurate records of leads, quotations, orders, and client interactions
Update CRM and sales pipelines regularly
Prepare sales reports as required
Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with company procedures

After-Sales Support
Follow up post-installation to ensure client satisfaction
Address snags or concerns in coordination with operations
Identify opportunities for upselling or repeat business
Compliance & Brand Representation
Ensure all sales activities align with company policies and values
Represent the company professionally at all times
Maintain knowledge of signage regulations, health & safety co

Qualifications Requirements

Matric (minimum)
Relevant sales or business qualification (advantage)
Proven sales experience (preferably in signage, printing, manufacturing,
construction, branding or related industries)
Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel for client visits

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work
  • Ability to stand and move around the office and factory environment as required
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light office items or documents (up to10 kg)
  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed financial and project information
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment (computer, printer,telephone)
  • Ability to hear and respond to telephone calls and in-person communication
  • Ability to work in a production environment with moderate noise levels
  • Ability to comply with health and safety requirements, including use of PPE when entering factory areas

Skills & Competencies

  • Understanding of signage products, materials, and production processes (advantage)
  • Ability to read basic drawings, specifications, and measurements
