Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Manage retail projects from initiation through to completion, including store openings, refurbishments, and upgrades Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource schedules Coordinate contractors, suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines, budgets, and specifications Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards on all sites Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings Manage project documentation, reporting, and communication to stakeholders Resolve operational challenges and escalations efficiently Ensure projects are handed over smoothly to operations teams Maintain strong working relationships with landlords, service providers, and internal departments Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Manager within retail, construction, or rollout environments Strong understanding of store development, refurbishments, or retail operations Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Proficient in MS Office and project management tools Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to JHB bi-weekly. Salary: Market-related, depending on experience

As an Energy Project Manager at our client, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing complex energy projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of the energy sector, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Proactively address challenges and implement contingency plans to maintain project momentum. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring effective communication and resource utilisation. Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring cost-effective project delivery. Work closely with finance and procurement teams to optimise resource allocation. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders at regular intervals. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus. Proven experience in project management within the energy sector. Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, grid systems, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

Job Experience and Skills Required: Grade 12 plus a Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business; PMP and Agile/Scrum certifications preferred. 57 years IT Project Management experience across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid environments. Proven delivery of software development, infrastructure, and service desk projects. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Experience working with PMO frameworks (PMBOK) and both Agile and traditional methodologies. Proficient in Jira, MS Project, and Azure DevOps (including configuring Boards, pipelines, and dashboards). Solid understanding of SDLC, ITSM concepts, risk management, stakeholder communication, and willingness to travel and provide after-hours support. Apply now!
