About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring seamless store openings, refurbishments, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage retail projects from initiation through to completion, including store openings, refurbishments, and upgrades
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource schedules
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, internal teams, and external stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines, budgets, and specifications
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards on all sites
  • Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, and communication to stakeholders
  • Resolve operational challenges and escalations efficiently
  • Ensure projects are handed over smoothly to operations teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within retail, construction, or rollout environments
  • Strong understanding of store development, refurbishments, or retail operations
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to JHB bi-weekly

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the full lifecycle of HVAC projects in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical drawings, installation methods, and system commissioning, as well as experience working with leading HVAC brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from planning to completion
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate site activities, resources, materials, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Prepare, track, and manage project budgets, including costing reports and forecasts
  • Assist with claims, pricing variations, and identifying commercial risks
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards
  • Communicate with clients and consultants for inspections, approvals, and project commissioning
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, costs, and potential risks

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in delivering HVAC projects
  • Solid understanding of mechanical drawings, installation methods, and system commissioning
  • Knowledge of SANS regulations, OEM standards, and HVAC installation best practices
  • Experience working with leading HVAC brands
  • Proficient with Excel, MS Project, or other project tracking and management tools

Qualifications

Trade qualification or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management
