About the Role

The SBSA Contract Driver role involves accepting accountability and responsibility as the custodian of the IZI vehicle and assets during operational deployment, performing Cash in Transit (CIT) services, and ensuring compliance with company policies, driver operating procedures, and directives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain company security standards by complying to all company vehicle and equipment procedures
  • Receive and sign for the vehicle and all equipment and further check that all is in good working order
  • Perform daily inspections on the vehicle to check mechanical roadworthiness and systems
  • Complete daily driver checklist in terms of the company’s mandatory security principles (MSP)
  • Inspect vehicle on completion of daily duties and escalate any defects/concerns to the Control Room and management before signing off duty
  • Drive the vehicle responsibly and record details of accidents, robberies, or other incidents
  • Comply with all traffic regulations as prescribed by the Road Traffic Act
  • Obtain as many details as possible in respect of other vehicle details (getaway), possible nature of injuries, and any other detail that may assist emergency services
