Position: Commis Chef
Luxury Brand | Woodstock, Cape Town
Were looking for a focused, hands-on Commis Chef to join our fast-moving production kitchen. This is not a fine-dining plating role. Its precision, batch control, recipe accuracy and consistency at scale. Small details matter. Clean systems matter. Standards matter.
We produce premium, small-batch ice cream for retail stores and restaurant partners. The kitchen runs on structure, timing and teamwork. If you like being busy, working methodically and knowing your work directly impacts what lands in the scoop cabinet this role will suit you.
The Role
Youll support daily production across ice cream bases, inclusions and baked components. Expect measuring, prepping, cleaning, organising and repeating properly. This is about consistency and pride in process.
Youll work closely with the Head Chef and production team to keep quality high and output steady.
What Youll Be Doing

Weighing and preparing ingredients accurately

Assisting with daily ice cream production

Supporting baked elements and flavour components

Keeping your section clean, organised and compliant

Following food safety and hygiene standards strictly

Assisting with stock rotation (FIFO) and deliveries

Maintaining production discipline and consistency
What Were Looking For

12 years in a professional kitchen or production environment

Culinary qualification advantageous but not essential

Naturally detail-oriented

Reliable and physically able to handle a production environment
