Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Demand & Supply Planner to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the demand and supply planning processes to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights
– Coordinate with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop an accurate demand plan
– Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses
– Develop supply plans to meet demand requirements while optimizing inventory levels
– Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods
– Evaluate and recommend improvements to the supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
– Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve performance in demand and supply planning
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
– Proven experience in demand and supply planning, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
– Strong analytical skills and experience with forecasting tools and software
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Competence in Power BI, SAP and advanced Excel
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
