About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Food and Beverage to oversee all F&B operations at a luxury hotel in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all food and beverage operations across the hotel
- Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of service, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for the F&B department
- Recruit, train, and mentor F&B staff to achieve operational excellence
- Plan and manage menus, special events, and banqueting operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior F&B management role within a luxury hotel environment
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, costs, and profitability
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain high standards under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Knowledge of F&B trends, service techniques, and operational best practices
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field is advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Negotiable. Performance Bonus: Up to 40% of annual salary.
