About the Role
As an Applications Engineer in our Cape Town City Centre office, you will be responsible for delivering ventilation and air handling projects from initial specification to final commissioning. You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements, design and select appropriate systems, and present technical solutions. If successful, you will join a team of experienced professionals who value collaboration, innovation, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret client specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements
- Design and select appropriate ventilation, fan, and air handling systems
- Prepare technical proposals, equipment schedules, and detailed costings
- Engage with clients to clarify requirements and present technical solutions
- Liaise with draughting, production, and installation teams to ensure practical, cost-effective designs
- Provide commissioning support and technical troubleshooting when required
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Attend site visits and client meetings as needed
Requirements
- BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role
- Experience in ventilation, HVAC, fan systems, or industrial air movement applications (advantageous)
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
