Job Description
Purpose
Effective control and implementation of quality control measures that enable the achievement of high customer satisfaction, through dispatch of quality and quantity of products that meet the customers expectations and requirements. Execute workflow schedules to effectively contribute to the efficiency of the department.
KRA:
Dispatch Efficiency
- Direct and coordinate the dispatch assistants into ensuring they load accurate orders. Ensure that the area is ready for work processing
- Raise any discrepancies with on the platforms provided and inform dispatch coordinator. Ensure orders are dispatched timeously. Ensure that all documentation is accounted for when done with despatching of a route.
- Organise and prioritise orders according to the plans provided by the Distribution Department. Evaluate the correctness and quality of orders by comparing the contents with the information on the picking slip, e.g. title, quality, ref number, quantity etc. Ensure the handling standards and loading efficiency to meet requirements.
Order satisfaction
- Check that all orders are loaded as per route requirements. Raise any discrepancies on the relevant platform and inform dispatch coordinator. Check that all documentation details match actual order details. Ensures that stock is in good quality. Ensure stock does not get damaged when being loaded.
Distribution Support
- Provide support to the distribution department. Assist with parking the trucks and moving them into loading bays as required.
Health and Safety
- Maintain a clean and safe work area. Storage equipment kept clean meeting dispatch standards. Ensuring excellent housekeeping in dispatch areas. Ensuring work areas are kept clean, neat and well-organized. Maintain safe working environment according to company procedures.
Additional Responsibilities (Ad Hoc Duties)
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall business goals and operational requirements
