Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Equity Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, experience analysing equity investments, and a deep understanding of financial markets. The Equity Analyst will be responsible for researching and evaluating potential investment opportunities, preparing detailed financial models, and providing recommendations on equity investments to support the investment decision-making process.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research/analysis of equity investments to assess potential for growth/profitability.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the performance and valuation of companies.
• Monitor industry trends, news, and market developments to identify investment opportunities.
• Prepare detailed investment reports and recommendations for the investment team.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers/other investment professionals to support decision-making process
• Present research findings and investment recommendations to stakeholders and clients

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• CFA Level II preferred and will take preference for applications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Equity Analyst or in a similar role – mandatory
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in PowerPoint
• Knowledgeable of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Experience with automation tools (Advantageous)
