Requirements:
- Matric essential; related qualification advantageous.
- Certificate or Diploma in Interior Design/Decor or field.
- 3-5 years VM experience in luxury retail, homeware, interiors, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong design eye, organisational skills, and willingness to travel.
- Excellent communicator, creative, and detail-oriented. decisive and able to prioritize.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Ability to translate brand guidelines into commercially effective in-store execution.
- Driver’s Licence, & Own reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement seasonal guidelines, window displays, in-store
- layouts, and product styling to luxury standards.
- Conduct store visits for audits, compliance, improvements.
- Analyse sales, optimise displays, drive performance.
- Coach & train store teams , VM standards, brand storytelling.

Role Overview
The Field Visual Merchandiser is responsible for delivering exceptional brand presentation across a portfolio of stores within the luxury homeware sector. This role ensures that all visual standards reflect the brands premium aesthetic, drive commercial performance, and elevate the customer experience. The position works closely with the Regional Visual Manager to implement seasonal guidelines, execute floor moves, and support store teams in achieving best-in-class merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Execution & Brand Standards
- Implement seasonal visual merchandising guidelines, window concepts, and in-store layouts to the highest standard.
- Maintain a consistent luxury aesthetic across all stores, ensuring displays reflect brand values, storytelling, and elevated home lifestyle themes.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess visual quality, identify improvements, and ensure compliance with brand direction.
- Manage merchandise presentation including product placement, styling, signage, pricing, and VM assets.
- Support new product launches and seasonal campaigns with impactful setups tailored to each stores layout and customer profile.
Commercial & Analytical Focus
- Analyse store performance, sales trends, and stock levels to optimise product density and visual impact.
- Collaborate with store and regional teams to ensure VM decisions support sell-through and commercial priorities.
- Provide insights on customer behaviour and local market opportunities to inform regional VM strategies.
Training & Coaching
- Coach store teams on visual merchandising standards, product handling, and brand storytelling.
- Deliver ongoing VM training, visual refresh guides, and actionable feedback to elevate in-store execution.
- Act as the primary field contact for VM queries and support stores in maintaining daily visual standards.
Operational Support
- Assist with new store openings, refurbishments, layout updates, and floor moves.
- Ensure all VM materials, props, and equipment are well maintained and used according to brand requirements.
- Prepare visit reports, visual audits, and photo documentation for the Regional Visual Manager.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Buying, Marketing, Retail Operations, and Store Management to execute cohesive visual strategies.
- Participate in regional meetings, product training, and seasonal workshops as required.
- Share best practices and store insights with the visual merchandising team.
Skills & Experience Required
- Matric certificate
- Qualification in a related field (advantageous)
- Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in visual merchandising, ideally within luxury retail, homeware, interiors, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong eye for design, styling, colour, and spatial layout.
- Ability to translate brand guidelines into commercially effective in-store execution.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills; comfortable with regular travel.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and coach store teams.
- Familiarity with VM reporting tools, planograms, and visual documentation.
- Creative, detail-focused, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
