Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller for a distinguished food and beverage consultancy based in the Western Cape. This key position requires a financially astute professional with a solid background in hospitality and retail, including hotels and restaurants. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong organisational and leadership abilities.
Minimum Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent preferred)

5+ years of financial management or controlling experience
-
Essential: Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or related industries
-
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
-
Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
-
In-depth knowledge of business financials, taxation, and labour regulations
-
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
-
Proven ability to manage teams and establish effective financial systems
Key Responsibilities:
-
Oversee and manage all financial operations across the consultancy and its projects
-
Prepare, monitor, and maintain financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
-
Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT, UIF, and other statutory requirements
-
Manage payroll processes in line with labour laws
-
Oversee creditors, debtors, and invoicing functions
-
Implement and monitor robust internal controls and financial procedures
-
Conduct cash flow management and cost analysis to support efficiency
-
Present management accounts and financial insights to stakeholders
-
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
-
Support senior leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-making
