Job Description

The role will work closely with production, suppliers, and management to drive continuous improvement, resolve quality
issues and customer complaints, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on processes and finished products.
- Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and address manufacturing issues.
- Monitor, analyse and report on quality performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality assurance processes and best practices. Facilitate training of SOPs
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to finished goods quality.
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform sporadic production checks and follow through on HSE minutes, findings, and improvements
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis across the facility.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Organize safety drills and emergency preparedness activities.
- Conduct HSE training and awareness programs for all employees.
- Ensure proper use and availability of PPE and enforce safety protocols on-site.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and national HSE regulations, fire codes, environmental legislation, and industry best practices.
- Maintain all required records, licenses, and permits related to facilities and safety operations.
Education experience, Key knowledge and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Six Sigma (preferred)
- Professional certifications in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC, ISO Auditor) preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Implementation and working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience in writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be self-disciplined and be able to work alone
