Junior Mid Frontend Developer (React) (CPT Hybrid)IT – Software Development
Cape Town – Western Cape – South Africa

ENVIRONMENT:
ENSURE visually appealing and seamless user interfaces as the next Junior Mid Frontend Developer sought by a cutting-edge FinTech platform. Working closely with Senior Developers, Designers, and Product Managers, you will help implement clean, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces using React and modern Frontend tools. The ideal candidate will require a BSc Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications with 3+ years experience in Frontend development, be familiar with React & component-based development and has a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs and JSON. DUTIES:
  • Develop and maintain Frontend components for the Procurement Marketplace using React and TypeScript.
  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional code.
  • Assist in implementing responsive layouts and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with Backend Developers to connect Frontend components to APIs.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
  • Help identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and usability issues.
  • Learn and apply best practices in modern Frontend development, including accessibility, testing, and component reuse.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Tech Stack
Frontend: React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS
Tooling: Webpack, Vite, ESLint, Prettier
Version Control: Git
Collaboration: Figma, Slack
Qualifications –
  • BSc in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or similar is essential.
Experience/Skills
  • 3+ Years of experience in Frontend development
  • Experience with React and component-based development.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Basic knowledge of REST APIs and working with JSON.
Nice to haves
  • Experience with Version Control tools like Git.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design principles.
  • Knowledge of state management tools (e.g., Redux, Context API).
  • Understanding of Agile development practices.
