Job Description
As a Logistics Coordinator, youll be responsible for processing bookings and overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations for assigned customers. This role suits someone highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Youll coordinate with shipping lines, internal teams, and clients to ensure shipments move smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities:

Attend client and operational planning meetings.

Provide shipping options, routes, stack dates, ETDs and ETAs to customers.

Ensure customers receive accurate quotations and request ad hoc rates when required.

Create and distribute booking confirmations and operational documents to relevant parties.

Capture and maintain accurate booking and shipment data in internal systems.
-
Coordinate with intermodal teams regarding container changes, amendments, or issues.
-
Communicate with shipping lines and clients regarding equipment or depot challenges.

Collect and share required documentation with internal documentation teams.
-
Manage deadlines and communicate timelines internally and externally.

Inform customers of any additional or incidental charges and obtain written approval.
Requirements:

Grade 12 (essential).

Diploma in Shipping, Logistics, Freight Forwarding or a related field (preferred).

Minimum of 2 years experience in freight forwarding and logistics, preferably export-focused.

Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel (advantageous).

Availability after hours when required.
