Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of South African Maintenance Technicians to work in Hoogeveen, Netherlands. Please note that visa and sponsorship assistance provided. The successful candidates will be part of a team of about 8 colleagues but will mostly work independently. They will support 3 production departments and work with highly complex machinery, while also carrying out standard maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve technical problems
• Resolve machine malfunction
• Ensure continuous production and smooth running of the production line
• Together with your production colleagues, youll quickly get the line back up and running.
• Ensure downtime is minimized
• Troubleshooting and performing necessary analyses, as well as preventive maintenance.
• Conducting (preventive) inspections and carrying out planned maintenance
• Analysing recurring electrical and control technical problems, and proposing solutions
• Locating malfunctions and resolving them using various programming and measuring equipment
• Modifying control systems and software programs

Requirements:

• Matric / N4
• Electrical Trade Test or Millwright Trade Test or Instrumentation Technician Trade Test or Instrumentation Technician Diploma (N6)
• N1 N6 highly advantageous
• South African Drivers License
• Fluent in the Afrikaans language essential and mandatory
• Completed 3 year apprenticeship
• 1 Year work experience post trade test from any industry
• Knowledge of control techniques and PLC applications such as Siemens S7/TIA Portal
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

These include, among others, medium-voltage (10kV) systems, power and lighting distribution systems, as well as instrumentation and control technology (Siemens PCS7 system).

Responsibilities:

• Involved in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and overhaul tasks
• Performing periodic inspections on systems, components, and tools
• Assessing the maintenance condition based on checklists and personal judgment
• Performing corrective maintenance resulting from inspections at scheduled times
• Acting as a supervisor for part of the installation during maintenance shutdowns, directing and guiding contractors work and ensuring safety, quality, and progress
• Troubleshooting systems and components based on notifications or work orders
• Assessing the nature, severity, and extent of faults and determining whether immediate repair is necessary or possible
• Proposing improvements to enhance technical conditions and creating technical drawings
• Installing/connecting measurement and control systems and programming components
• Keeping documentation and drawing files up to date
• Acting as the person responsible for safe work operations, switching in cabinets, and securing the installation.

• 35 years of experience as an Electrician

• Familiarity with office software such as MS Office and SAP
• Basic knowledge of the German language advantageous
• Competencies: technical insight, problem analysis, flexibility, proactive attitude, teamwork, and communication skills.
