About the Role
Join our dynamic team at KERSTON FOODS CC as a Procurement Manager, where you’ll be responsible for developing and managing the Procurement Function to drive business growth and success. With a focus on customer satisfaction and high standards, we’re looking for a skilled professional to lead our procurement efforts and optimize supply chain effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to support effective supply chain processes.
- Develop, implement, and refine procurement planning models to align with strategy and annual targets.
- Manage the procurement system(s)/IT base to ensure alignment with business and operational products/supply demands.
- Administer and document procurement administration, including follow-through and internal/customer processes alignment.
- Optimize availability for sales-based orders and ensure effective/expedient sourcing to meet orders.
- Develop and manage a supplier network that enables effective sourcing, availability, and cost of products required.
Requirements
- 5-6 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist/Buyer in the Foods/Hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of achieving targets and increasing revenue within this specific industry.
- Valid drivers license and own car required.
- FMCG background in similar role is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Procurement, Business, or Operations Management with a significant IT/Systems module and statistics module as part of these studies (equating to 3 years or preferably 4 years of formal tertiary studies).
