Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and evaluate cost estimates for construction projects
– Manage project budgets, costs, and financial reporting
– Conduct cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
– Produce and maintain project schedules and timelines
– Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
– Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bill of Quantities
– Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and claims
– Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management
– Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards
– Manage and mentor junior members of the quantity surveying team
Requirements:
– Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and project management
– Professional certification such as RICS or equivalent is preferred
– Strong knowledge of construction principles, methods, and materials
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Proficient in using construction estimating software and project management tools
– Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Attention to detail and accuracy
