About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping and onsite laundry operations of a luxury hotel in Cape Town. This role offers the opportunity to manage a dedicated team, ensure impeccable cleanliness and service standards, and drive operational efficiency in a prestigious hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all housekeeping and onsite laundry operations, ensuring superior cleanliness and presentation
- Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs and operational standards
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient service delivery
- Manage housekeeping systems including Protel or Opera property management software
- Monitor budgets, inventory, and resource usage to optimise efficiency
- Resolve operational challenges, enhance service levels, and maintain high team morale
- Interact professionally with management, guests, and associates at all levels
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification in Housekeeping Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping & Onsite Laundry Management in a large, multi-use facility, with at least 2 years supervisory experience
- Proficiency with general office applications
- Advanced knowledge of housekeeping and laundry processes and procedures
- Strategic planning, problem resolution, adaptability, and training expertise
- Strong leadership, organisational skills, and a guest service-driven attitude
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
