About the Role
The Supervisor Field Services (Maintenance) role at MECS Africa requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead and coordinate field service staff in ensuring efficient, safe, and customer-focused execution of service activities on site at clients’ locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating, and directing field service activities.
- Managing field service staff and ensuring optimal personnel deployment.
- Monitoring the progress, quality, and safety of activities on site.
- Maintaining contact with clients regarding the progress and completion of assignments.
- Resolving operational issues and escalations in the field.
- Reporting on performance, incidents, and improvement points to management.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Red Seal Trade Test
- Experience leading a team in a field service environment
- Experience with maintenance activities in the offshore or marine industry (desirable)
- Experience with on-site service and maintenance activities
- Experience with planning software and reporting tools (advantageous)
- Team player
- Good communication skills and professional appearance
- Possession of a driving license
- Fluency in Afrikaans, German, or Dutch (not negotiable due to location)
